Compassionate Care with Dignity and Comfort for Our Community

Hospice of North Idaho, Inc. is a non-profit, Medicare-certified hospice serving Kootenai, Benewah, and Shoshone counties.  We are an independent organization governed by a community board of directors.  Hospice of North Idaho was created by the community in November 1981 and began providing services in January 1982.  Medicare certified our hospice in 1987,  and we continue to grow to meet the needs of our community.

Hospice of North Idaho exists to be a safe-haven of compassionate care providing comfort, healing and bereavement support for persons affected by a life threatening illness and grief.  The hospice and palliative care team accomplishes this with a commitment to promoting human dignity and a spirit of compassion, choice, respect, cooperation, and support with each other and the public it serves.
